For those whose collaborative work is based in the United States, and if your work is eligible for U.S. government federal funding, we welcome you to participate in a quick survey.
We hope to understand if and how local place-based collaboratives are aware of and connected to the recent wave of United States federal funding programs (see info below), and what type of supports would be helpful for those interested in learning more.
Given the power of place-based collaboratives to bring together different sectors and community residents, we recognize that your work can play a critical role in local implementation of these U.S. federal funding programs. Our hope is to better understand your needs in this area, connect you to relevant resources, and share experiences from initiatives participating in these funding programs.

Background on U.S. Federal Funding Opportunities
Over the last few years, the United States Congress has passed a new wave of federal programs—including the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, Inflation Reduction Act, and the CHIPS and Science Act—that cumulatively provide a recently unprecedented level of new funding for infrastructure, technology and manufacturing, and clean energy.
At the same time, the Biden administration has established new goals and structures for advancing racial equity and ensuring that federal investments and programs more directly benefit underserved communities. Many have highlighted that this is a generational opportunity to more equitably support sustainability and grow local economies not only through new jobs and infrastructure, but also through the investments in workforce development and community benefit required by these plans.
