In this one hour session, Dominique Samari, JD and Paul Schmitz, authors of the newly released report “Backbone Leadership is Different: The Skills and Mindset Shifts Needed for Collective Impact,” share more about the report findings.
Dominique and Paul dive into the three critical mindset shifts and six skill sets they observed practiced within successful backbone teams, discussing why these shifts and skill sets in particular are helpful for those leading in the backbone role. They also answer attendee questions about these findings, navigating the role of the backbone, and why the backbone team requires such unique leadership skills to support the complexity of collective impact.
