About this Office Hour

With shifts in government administrations both in the U.S. and globally, and related sociocultural shifts, many practitioners are navigating uncertainty and apprehension. They are grappling with how to prepare for advancing their collective strategies amidst a landscape that may bring rapid changes across multiple systems at once.

For those leading collaborative work, these times of uncertainty can both be very challenging and serve as an opportunity to lead together collectively. Questions collaboratives are working through include:

  • How might changing government policies and processes affect collaboratives and the communities they serve?
  • How can we understand community needs and priorities through these changes?
  • How do we adapt strategies and work plans so that we can continue to support our long-term goals?
  • How can we prepare to assist partners who may be experiencing new or unforeseen needs through these changing times?
  • How can we communicate with funders about how changes in these broader systems and policies may affect our work?
  • How can funders support grantees working through uncertain times and shifting priorities?

If you have questions about how to manage change during uncertain times, we’re here to help where we can. (Disclaimer: We won’t have answers for every question and situation, but we can share ways of thinking about future planning and lessons we’ve learned from the broader field.)

This session kicks off a series of monthly free office hours that we’re hosting to support collaboratives across the field. If you would like to join but can’t make this month, please join us in a future session.

What’s a Virtual Office Hour? The Virtual Office Hour is another way to respond to the burning questions from collective impact practitioners. The office hours are casual Q&A sessions: no formal presentations, but rather an opportunity to spend the hour answering questions about a specific topic.
