Exploring the Relational Core of Systems Change Work

Exploring the Relational Core of Systems Change Work. Online Workshop - November 30, 2023. Hosted by Collective Impact Forum and Collective Change Lab

About This Workshop

The work of changing systems to solve complex social problems often focuses merely on technical solutions to produce quantifiable and predetermined outcomes. However, what is usually missing is the recognition that the systems we are trying to change are made up of people. This session will focus on how collective impact efforts can support relational development in ways that not only build authentic empathy and compassion between diverse participants but that also attune to the interconnectedness of the human existence. A deeper connection with each other, the land, our history and context can form new avenues for innovation to address the social problem at hand.

This session includes a half-day workshop on November 8 from 1pm – 4:30pm ET. as well as copies of the workshop post-event recording and related presentation.

Faculty:

  • Laura Calderon de La Barca, Associate Director, Collective Trauma and Healing, Collective Change Lab

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I register for this workshop? Visit our Eventbrite site to register for this workshop. Attendees can register for the full series pass and join both online workshops or register for an individual workshop.

Is this workshop in-person or online? This is an online learning series. We will use Zoom Meeting for all sessions.

What time zone are the workshops using? We are using Eastern Time (US & Canada) with each session running from 1pm – 4:30pm ET. If you are joining from another time zone, please note the time difference.

What will each workshop entail? Each 3.5-hour workshop will include a mix of presentation, personal reflection, Q&A, and small group discussions. There will be a short break planned during each workshop.

What accessibility practices will this series be using? We will have zoom auto-captions on for each workshop. Ahead of the workshop, we will send out copies of any presentation or handouts that the workshop will use. After the workshop, we will share recordings of the session as well as any referenced resources. Please reach out to Christopher Pulido at christopher@detailsbycp.com if you need other accessibility measures not mentioned above.

What’s the difference between the Full Series Pass and Single Workshop registration? If you sign up for the full “Collaborating for Systems Change” workshop series pass, you are signing up for both the November 8 and November 30 workshops. If you sign up for a single workshop in the series, you will be registering for just that specific workshop.

Will workshops be recorded? The workshop presentation and full group Q&A will be recorded and shared after the workshop with those who registered. Breakout group discussions that occur during the workshop will not be recorded. Recordings will be shared within one week after the workshop.

Are there Group Rates available? Yes. If you have 10 or more people interested in registering for the complete series of two workshops ($350), there is a 10% discount available. Please contact Christopher Pulido at christopher@detailsbycp.com on how to access this discount. Single workshops in the series do not have a group discount.

Can my team sign-up with one registration? No. Each person will require their own registration as this is an active workshop where attendees will be broken up into small groups during the workshop time to discuss learning questions during the session.

How do I request a refund? Registered participants who decide to cancel their participation in either the full “Collaborating for Systems Change” workshop series or a single workshop will receive a refund of their registration fee minus a 10% processing fee. The 10% fee covers non-recoupable administrative and credit card processing expenses associated with registration and event preparation. All refund requests should be emailed to christopher@detailsbycp.com. We are unable to process refunds after a refund deadline has passed.

Refund Cancellation Deadlines:

Full Workshop Series:

For a full workshop series pass refund, requests for cancellations will be honored through Friday, November 3, 2023.

Single Workshops:

If you register for a single workshop, these are the refund deadlines. These are only for those who registered for a single workshop and not a full series pass.
