We have recently started a series of podcast roundtable discussions. Before we began, we asked for your most pressing questions related to your work in collaboration, collective impact, pandemic response, and support for Black communities.
Thank you to all who shared your responses. Great questions were raised and we are excited to dig into some of these topics during our podcast roundtables in the weeks to come. We don’t claim to have all the answers in these complex times, but look forward to sharing what we are seeing, learning, and thinking about. Here are a few main themes we saw:
- How can we collaborate effectively with social distancing? How might we pursue community co-creation, effective virtual meetings, and equitable data collection and analysis given these barriers?
- How can we take advantage of the innovation and systems upheaval of the moment for long-term systems change? How do we balance emergency response to our communities needs vs. funding for lasting change through collective impact?
- How can we pursue becoming an anti-racist collective impact initiative? How can we be allies and supporters of anti-racism efforts without burdening People of Color?
- How can we stay relevant and be an effective partner when our issue area is not centered on the immediate needs of the community?
Check out the first edition of our roundtable discussions, “Reflecting on This Moment and What’s Ahead” where we’ve begun to discuss the impact we are seeing in the present circumstances and what it means to look ahead when the future seems unknown. Featuring Robert Albright, Sheri Brady, Jennifer Splansky Juster, Paul Schmitz, Tracy Timmons-Gray, and Junious Williams.
What do you think? Do these themes resonate with you? Are there other questions that you are pondering? Please share your thought in the comments.
