I am an early adopter of the Collective Impact framework for teen pregnancy prevention initiatives. I am a fan but not an uncritical one as anything can always be better. My work has included developing CI-informed models for implementation in teen pregnancy initiatives and developing strategies to operationalize those models. At an East Coast university I teach collaboration and partnership and have developed a month-long module on Collective Impact. My research includes a study of a multi-site teen pregnancy prevention initiative through the lens of CI. I have also applied the CI framework to some other issues, including pediatric oral health promotion among disadvantaged populations. On the Tamarack Institute website, and my own, I regularly post blogs on CI, collaborative, inclusive leadership, community engagement and mobilization, and community change.
