Leadership Training to Prepare for Collective Impact

Posted 10 months ago at 7:41 am

My name is Monica Curls, and I am a member of the Junior League of Kansas City, Missouri.  We are developing a leadership development seminar for next year (March 2018) that is focused on helping engaged community members from all sectors (for-profit, non-profit, civic and community citizens) to develop the leadership skills necessary to successfully participate in Collective Impact work.  I see a lot of resources about how to engage in Collective Impact, but I have not seen as much about what skills those participants need to have in order to be successful contributors to these efforts.

Can anyone recommend resources or guidance as it relates to those Collective Impact leadership skills, and also who might be engaging presenters who could speak to those skills?

I look forward to your responses.

Kindest regards,

Monica Curls

Hi Monica- We had the same thought a few years ago and it quickly turned into a 9 month, multi-sector, place based leadership development initiative that is now in its 4th year.

It may be more than what you are looking to do, but if I can be of assistance please let me know.

Best of luck
